Privacy policy

MedMum helps a family or a group of carers keep track of the medicines and other recurring tasks of a person they look after. This policy explains which data the app processes, why, and what you can do about it.
Who is responsible

Which data we process

Health data
Medicine names, doses and whether they were taken can reveal information about the health of the person cared for. This is a special category of data under the GDPR (art. 9). It is processed only to provide the service and on the basis of explicit consent (art. 9.2.a GDPR). Whoever creates a circle and enters this information must have the consent of the person cared for, or be entitled to act on their behalf. The person cared for does not need an account. Each member can hide item names in their own notifications.
Usage statistics
To understand how the app is used and improve it, we may use Google Analytics for Firebase (Google Ireland Limited). It is active only if you agree when the app asks you, and you can change your choice at any time in the app settings. If you agree, it collects:
- a random identifier of the app installation (not your account);
- device model, operating system, app version, language and approximate country, derived from the IP address, which is not stored;
- which screens are opened and which features are used, and when.
It never receives the content you enter (medicines, doses, routines, names of the person cared for or of the members), nor your name or email address. The statistics are kept for up to 14 months and are not used for advertising.
Legal bases
- Providing the service you asked for (art. 6.1.b GDPR) for your account, your circles and notifications.
- Consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR) for usage statistics, which you can withdraw at any time from the app settings.
- Explicit consent (art. 9.2.a GDPR) for health data, as described above.
- Legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f GDPR) for technical logs needed to keep the service secure and working.
Who can see the data
Your personal space is visible only to you. Circle content is visible only to the members of that circle. The archived copy of a circle is visible only to the person who owns it, and is never updated after the moment they left. We do not sell data or show ads.
The service runs on Google Firebase (Google Ireland Limited), which acts as data processor: Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore and Cloud Functions (data stored in the europe-west8 region, Milan, Italy) and Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications. Some Google services, such as authentication and notification delivery, may process data outside the European Union under the safeguards provided by Google (Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework).
The same account works in our other apps (SpendyGO, ButtaGO): data of each app stays in its own spaces and is shown only by the app it belongs to.
How long we keep data
- Your account, preferences, personal space and device data: until you delete your account.
- Circle content: while the circle exists. A circle is removed when its last member leaves it, when a supervisor deletes it, or when its last member deletes their account.
- Archived copies: until you delete them from the app or you delete your account. Each member has their own copy, so deleting yours does not affect the others.
- Technical logs: up to 30 days.
- Usage statistics: up to 14 months.
When you delete your account, the items you checked stay in the circle history with your name, because they are part of the shared record of the person cared for. You can ask us to anonymise them.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, and to restrict or object to its processing, by writing to miesolutionsit@gmail.com. You can withdraw consent at any time. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) or the authority of your country.

In the app: Settings (the gear icon at the top), Delete account. Without the app, see how to request deletion.
Children
The app is meant for adults who care for someone. It is not directed to children under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.

Dati sanitari
Nomi dei farmaci, dosi e assunzioni possono rivelare informazioni sulla salute della persona assistita. Sono categorie particolari di dati ai sensi del GDPR (art. 9). Sono trattati solo per fornire il servizio e sulla base del consenso esplicito (art. 9.2.a GDPR). Chi crea una cerchia e inserisce queste informazioni deve avere il consenso della persona assistita, o essere legittimato ad agire per suo conto. La persona assistita non ha bisogno di un account. Ogni membro può nascondere i nomi delle voci nelle proprie notifiche.
Statistiche di utilizzo
Per capire come viene usata l'app e migliorarla, possiamo usare Google Analytics for Firebase (Google Ireland Limited). È attivo solo se acconsenti quando l'app te lo chiede, e puoi cambiare scelta in qualsiasi momento dalle impostazioni dell'app. Se acconsenti, raccoglie:
- un identificativo casuale dell'installazione dell'app (non del tuo account);
- modello del dispositivo, sistema operativo, versione dell'app, lingua e paese approssimativo, ricavato dall'indirizzo IP, che non viene conservato;
- quali schermate vengono aperte e quali funzioni vengono usate, e quando.
Non riceve mai i contenuti che inserisci (farmaci, dosi, routine, nomi della persona assistita o dei membri), né il tuo nome o il tuo indirizzo email. Le statistiche sono conservate fino a 14 mesi e non sono usate per pubblicità.
Basi giuridiche
- Esecuzione del servizio richiesto (art. 6.1.b GDPR) per account, cerchie e notifiche.
- Consenso (art. 6.1.a GDPR) per le statistiche di utilizzo, che puoi revocare in qualsiasi momento dalle impostazioni dell'app.
- Consenso esplicito (art. 9.2.a GDPR) per i dati sanitari, come descritto sopra.
- Legittimo interesse (art. 6.1.f GDPR) per i log tecnici necessari alla sicurezza e al funzionamento del servizio.
Chi vede i dati
Il tuo spazio personale è visibile solo a te. I contenuti di una cerchia sono visibili solo ai suoi membri. La copia archiviata di una cerchia è visibile solo alla persona a cui appartiene e non viene mai aggiornata dopo il momento dell'uscita. Non vendiamo dati e non mostriamo pubblicità.
Il servizio funziona su Google Firebase (Google Ireland Limited), responsabile del trattamento: Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore e Cloud Functions (dati conservati nella regione europe-west8, Milano) e Firebase Cloud Messaging per le notifiche. Alcuni servizi Google, come l'autenticazione e la consegna delle notifiche, possono trattare dati fuori dall'Unione europea con le garanzie previste da Google (clausole contrattuali standard e EU-US Data Privacy Framework).
Lo stesso account funziona nelle nostre altre app (SpendyGO, ButtaGO): i dati di ogni app restano nei suoi spazi e li mostra solo l'app a cui appartengono.
Per quanto tempo
- Account, preferenze, spazio personale e dati del dispositivo: fino all'eliminazione dell'account.
- Contenuti della cerchia: finché la cerchia esiste. Una cerchia viene eliminata quando il suo ultimo membro la lascia, quando un supervisore la elimina o quando il suo ultimo membro elimina l'account.
- Copie archiviate: finché non le elimini dall'app o non elimini l'account. Ogni membro ha la sua copia, quindi eliminare la tua non tocca quelle degli altri.
- Log tecnici: fino a 30 giorni.
- Statistiche di utilizzo: fino a 14 mesi.
Quando elimini l'account, le voci che hai spuntato restano nello storico della cerchia con il tuo nome, perché fanno parte della registrazione condivisa della persona assistita. Puoi chiederci di renderle anonime.
I tuoi diritti
Puoi chiedere accesso, rettifica, cancellazione o copia dei tuoi dati, e limitazione od opposizione al trattamento, scrivendo a miesolutionsit@gmail.com. Puoi revocare il consenso in qualsiasi momento. Puoi anche presentare reclamo al Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
Eliminare l'account
Nell'app: Impostazioni (l'icona dell'ingranaggio in alto), Elimina account. Senza l'app, vedi come richiedere la cancellazione.
Minori
L'app è pensata per adulti che assistono qualcuno. Non è rivolta a minori di 16 anni.
Modifiche
Se l'informativa cambia, aggiorneremo questa pagina e la data in alto.
